Different By Design

Every day I walk into the studio, I feel energized and inspired by all of you. It’s made me believe that we really do attract what we put out into the world.

When I opened The Reform Room, I wanted a space for all of us. Something that could hold us through the not so easy moments. A place rooted in strength, both mental and physical. A community that encourages each other, not always loudly, but in the quiet ways that say keep going, you belong here. I wanted positivity, connection, and something that felt real. And now, because of all of you, it’s become even more than I imagined.

I also find myself thinking a lot about our instructors. The way they show up, the care they bring, and all the work that happens behind the scenes. What I love most is that no two of them teach the same way. While they share the same foundation and deep respect for the practice, each brings their own perspective, energy, and style.

This studio was built on the idea that you can come as you are. That you don’t need to be anything other than exactly who you are in this moment. And that same philosophy extends to our instructors.

Each of them brings something different into the room. A different energy, a different perspective, a different way of guiding you through the work. It’s not about one style being better than another. It’s about experiencing the depth of the practice through different lenses, all rooted in the same foundation and care.

That individuality is intentional. It’s something we value, protect, and celebrate here.

So if you’ve been sticking to the same class or instructor, I encourage you to switch it up. Try something new. Take a class with someone different. Stay open to a new experience. It might challenge you in the best way.

Because this idea of embracing difference goes beyond the studio.

We live in a world that doesn’t always celebrate differences. It can feel easier to compare, to judge, or to believe there’s one right way to be.

But here, we choose something different.

We choose to honor it. To be curious about it. To create space for each person to show up fully, in how they move and in who they are. To recognize that our differences are not something to fix, but something that make this space stronger, more dynamic, and more human.

And when we practice that here, it doesn’t stay here. It carries into how we show up in our lives, in our relationships, and in our community.

That kind of energy is powerful. And it starts with us.

All my love,
Jess
