Celebrate Yourself.

There’s a lot to celebrate right now—and funny enough, I find it hard to pause and actually do just that! I wanted to throw a grand opening, but every time I pictured standing still in this space and honoring the accomplishment of opening this studio, I got emotional. Sometimes I think it was relief that this dream really came to life, other times it was sheer gratitude for how warmly you’ve all embraced this place and me.

If I’m being honest, I rarely see myself as doing “extraordinary” things, and it feels boastful to stop and celebrate. But then I think about the amount of work, effort, thought, love, creativity, time, risk, and courage it took to get here. I realize it is good—and necessary—to pause and acknowledge ourselves. So, thank you for helping me celebrate the other week. It really meant the world to me.

The other day, a brand-new client came to class. Halfway through, she tumbled off the reformer. Instead of running out embarrassed, she laughed, got right back up, and kept going. After class, she told me she wanted a membership because she felt represented here. I was moved to tears. Her resilience reminded me that every win—big or small, graceful or messy—is worth celebrating.

That moment also reminded me of why I started all this. Years ago, after being diagnosed with PCOS, my body slowed down. I gained weight, lost the athleticism I once knew, and didn’t recognize myself anymore. I searched for something to spark joy in movement again, but nothing stuck.

When I finally walked into a Pilates class (after two years of intimidation and self-doubt), it changed everything. It shifted my relationship with my body from wishing it were different to learning to love it as it is—and as it will continue to change. Pilates became more than a workout. It became a calling.

I wanted to be the representation I never saw: proof that you don’t need a six-pack, a certain size, or a certain age to belong in this space. That’s why I built The Reform Room—to create a safe place where no one feels intimidated, where comparison melts away, and where you can fall in love with your body at every stage of life.

So this month, I invite you to pause with me. Celebrate your strength. Celebrate showing up for yourself. Celebrate exactly where you are, right now. Because you deserve it.
All my love,
Jess
