Being Here, Exactly As You Are
It’s hard to believe August is here already. Time always feels like it moves faster and faster, and somehow it still surprises me. We’re two months into having our studio doors open, and I truly love every single day I get to walk inside.
Recently, a client came up to me after class and said, “This was the most love-filled workout of my life. I’ve never felt more tuned into my body during a workout.” His words stopped me in my tracks. My eyes filled with tears because this...this is exactly what I hoped to create when I opened The Reform Room.
My goal has always been to offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A place to move your body not only in ways that feel good, but in ways that reconnect you to yourself, something life doesn’t always allow us time for. For 45 minutes, you get to simply be. Not wishing to be different, not striving to look different, just loving yourself as you are, in that moment.
That client’s words reminded me why I start each class with a grounding breath: to help you leave your to-do list at the door and be here now. And why I end class with gratitude: encouraging you to thank yourself for showing up, or to tell yourself how strong you are. These small reminders are my way of helping you carry self-love and presence into the rest of your day.
I wanted to share this story in case it sparks an intention for you next time you’re in class: to simply be here, exactly as you are. I am so grateful when you share your experiences with me. It means the world.
Thank you for being here with me.
All my love,
Jess
