Into the Year Ahead

January is often framed as a time to reset. Over the years, I’ve come to see it more as a time to reflect. A pause. A moment to look at what has been, what is, and what I want to grow into in the year ahead.

Most years, I choose a word or a theme. I don’t overthink it. I trust the first thing that comes to mind. This year, that word is learn.

In 2026, I want to keep expanding myself and my knowledge. I want to deepen my education in Pilates and in business ownership. I want to learn more efficient ways of doing things. I want to learn how to let go, even when every part of me wants to hold on to my children as children, as they move closer to adulthood and independence. I want to continue learning how to live my values as a human, and how to keep pouring love, compassion, and resources into the community I love, especially when the world can feel heavy and unkind. I want to keep expanding in all ways.

In the Pilates world, we have already hit the ground running. Julia and I completed some fantastic courses through Balanced Body Education, and Kristen attended an incredible conference in Southern California, also through Balanced Body. In March, I’m excited to share that I’ll be traveling to New York to attend Pilates on Tour, a Balanced Body conference where I’ll be taking extensive workshops with some of the best Pilates educators from around the world. Our team also has an ongoing email thread sharing local classes and learning opportunities so we can continue bringing you the very best movement experience possible.

It truly is special to be surrounded by such an incredible group of women who care deeply about the wellbeing of others.

I’m also learning better and more efficient ways to run The Reform Room as we move into our eighth month of being open. I will continue refining how we do things so that your experience feels thoughtful, elevated, and supportive from start to finish. I am fully committed to making sure The Reform Room gives you what you need to feel well, strong, and confident as you move through your daily life with balance and care.

Make sure to keep up with us on Instagram for fun announcements and updates. There may be a few things coming that you won’t want to miss. Hint hint.

I hope the start of this year has been kind to you, and that you’re finding or beginning to find the inspiration you need as you step into 2026 and the things that bring you joy.

All my love,

Jess
